CBC news item morphes into the deformed imagery of Trumpism…
A headlined article on CBC’s online news page about a rapacious species of bullfrog infesting lakes in the Comox Valley conjured an ugly caricature of the new American nightmare.
The American bullfrog will “…decimate all the other wildlife that’s here,” one concerned Comox Valley resident was quoted in the article. It attacks instinctively and indiscriminately, has no moral boundaries, and totally lacks any sense of empathy for other creatures or environments.
It is narrowly focused on self-preservation and perpetuation and thrives in murky, mucky swamps.
Our psyches have been degraded by the obnoxious behaviours of the chief bullfrog and his spawn, infesting the great nation south of our border, intent on transforming it—and any vulnerable nation—into a fascist mire.
